Hello.
Nice virtual place you have here.
I've been posting around the "interweb" as huntre for a fairly long time and have been a fan of various forms of Taylor and friends since the Late 60's.
I'm what could best be described as a Media Junkie. Someone who loves the inner-workings as much as the outer. I'm also an activist on many fronts because my folks raised me to care about the future by addressing the now. To say that I want the current US administration leaders tried for felonious crimes against humanity should let you know where I stand, politically speaking.
I came to DocuTunes via James Taylor Online where I post silliness on numerous occasions.
Thanks for the invitation. Nice to be here.

Thanks for the introduction, Andrew. It's nice to get to know you in here. I hope you'll come here often to share music related news/links/coolness that you've found on the internet. Since you're a self-described media junkie, I'm sure you've stumbled across some gems.

Hi Andrew,
I believe I've seen your name in various points along my way, haven't I? I am glad to see you here. Let us know what you are coming across on-line in the music related and film related areas. I'm interested in what you are drawn to.

Hi Kate,
I think it's safe to say that we've danced the e-mails fantastic back in the day and I still post regularly at JTO. Did you ever receive the Paul Brady tape I sent you?
A belated Thanks to Liz for the welcome.
I haven't quite figured out how to post YouTubes and other "tubes" here but, eventually, I will. There's some amazing music and visuals floating around the "interweb" that I'd love to share.
DocuTunes is a nifty, spiffy idea.

Hi Andrew,
You can throw the embed code from pretty much any video sharing platform (like YouTube) into just about anywhere on the site. The embed code is on the right hand side of YouTube videos, or often underneath the video in other video sharing programs.

Matt also attended the documentary film and video production MA program at Stanford at the same time that I was a student there.

Hi Liz & Ken,

Thanks for the invite to join. Before moving to the Vineyard I spent the last 20 years living in places as diverse as Seattle, Beaufort, S.C. , Saudi Arabia, Okinawa, San Francisco, and New Orleans untill Huricane Katrina displaced my wife, Andrea, and I to this wonderful Island. I grew up listening to my Dad's great collection of '50's & '60's vinyl. The earliest songs I can remeber dancing to were Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire"; Jeaniee C. Riley's "Harper Valley PTA", and Lynn Anderson's "I never promised you a Rose Garden".

I married a Cajun Queen, from New Orleans, and credit her with turning me onto a lot of Jazz including Billie Holiday, Louis Armstong, and New Orleans piano legend and wizard the late great James Booker, as well as Miles Davis to which incidentially our little baby Miles was born too "Kind of Blue".

I'm also a Desert Storm veteran who is against the current admin's war in Iraq. My readings of history have taught me one thing; that nobody ever fought a war over music! So music is and should be one of the most potent weapons in the arsenal of peace.
I look forward to posting more and keep up the great work.

Hi John,
Thanks for joining the community. I'm sad that Katrina displaced you, but also happy that you guys are here with us on the island raising your son. I look forward to having the opportunity to talk music with you here.

Hi Liz and Kate!

Nice to be here. Just want to say hello and that I'm an all-round Taylor et al Family fan. Your music has been a mainstay in my life. Saw Liv with my brother in Phoenixville, PA last weekend, and he was a delight. Always mentions his family. I especially like the Docutune with Kate and Live at 9/11 remembrance. It is beautiful!

Your family's music has encouraged my children to step out and take a chance with their musical talents and abilities in big and small ways. You all have served as an inspiration for them to share their hearts.
Keep singing. I know I'll never stop listening.
