Kate - what are you working on these days? Got any upcoming shows? Doing any recordings? What about that DVD? ;)

Permalink Reply by Kate Taylor on January 8, 2009 at 1:05am: I've had the privilege of working with Film-Truth Productions on a DVD; Tunes From the Tipi and Other Songs From Home" which is very close to being complete and readied for release. It's got concert footage, interviews, Sam Zucchini and Billy Derby and me playing by the fire in the tipi and much more. There are a couple of clips from the full DVD posted on this site, they are produced and filmed by Film-Truth Productions, for their Docutunes.tv division. You guys know how to tell a story. You do a beautiful job!
I'm in the studio too, and that's been a blast getting the new songs recorded. So, the beat goes on!; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Ed Graves on January 12, 2009 at 11:54pm: Yes, it sure worked out alright for Sissy Spacek/Loretta Lynn in that movie (with one of my favorites, Levon Helm, playing her dad - yes, that's me standing in front of Big Pink in my photo). WMNF radio Tampa is the best local radio in these parts and I'd bet they would love to have you on and play your stuff. We've got WFLA Newschannel 8, Bay News 9, WFST ABC Action News, etc. Or come on down and play with Livingston next month in Clearwater at Ruth Eckerd Hall. My wife and I are going to his show, have never seen him play before, and we're really looking forward to it.; ▶ Reply to This

Speaking of Levon, I have had the honor of playing at one of his Rambles, and was there New Years Eve. He is a marvel and his daughter Amy is amazing also. She has a fabulous group, Olabelle. Check them out.
I would love to come down and play with Livingston, maybe that could happen sometime. We do occasionally book shows together. I guess I mention that in episode #7 on Docutunes.tv!
