Here you will find Liv's responses to the questions you posed to him here in "Ask Liv". There were a lot of questions, and we didn't get to them all, but we were able to get to many of them. I'll be uploading them over time as I finish editing them.

The first question I uploaded was from Kelly Ames Smith. She asked Liv:
Livingston, you have written and composed so many great songs can you remember back to the first song you wrote? age and story behind?
was it Rodeo or Carolina Day or Get Out of Bed or...?

Here is his response:

Question #2 from Barbara Gray - Tell us about the song you just worked up with your nephew Ben Taylor:

Ask Liv - What Song Are You Working on With Ben Taylor? from Film-Truth Productions on Vimeo.

Cool! Thank you so much, Liz!

Now I want to hear more about what he wrote with James.

Thank you for zooming out so we could watch his guitar planning. Great song.

Very nice, Liz! Thank you for asking the question Kelly.

Thanks, too, for playing "Good Friends", Liv. I never get tired of hearing it.

Looking forward to more!

This song (and this record ) was instrumental in my life. I had been through an enormous
personal struggle and this song was one of my go- to songs ( and records) when blue.
It never failed to pump me up ( and still works!) Honestly, if you had told me then that
I would be watching it here, now, in this way--- words can not describe.
Thank you so much Livingston, you are wonderful,

So wonderful. I'm anxious to see the rest!

As usual, I got a bit teary-eyed while listening. That's just fine.
It happens to me a lot when listening to Taylor music.
Very soulful.
Thank you, Liv.

I like what he said about Michael Jackson. I've said the same previously. Whatever he's become, it doesn't take away from what he's created.

So glad to hear the song will be on the next album. (Thanks for the follow-up question, Liz.) I can't wait. It sounds like it will be so much fun!

I feel the same way about MJ. More talent than any one body should hold. The things that changed him should never take away from his brilliance. It's well worth going back through his "J5" period to re-discover what a legend in the making sounds like. In fact, listen to the non-hits (album tracks). Stunning.
Good call, Liv.

Musings on M. Jackson: He was like an incendiary comet. I arranged and orchestrated Mussorgky’s “Great Gate of Kiev” for Jackson’s opening overture for the HIStory tour. He wanted it big. I gave him huge. The piece was recorded at Sony Studios with a 100-piece orchestra. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate piece to introduce the fiery brand, the Pyrotechnic Super Star of Pop. Yes, it was big, but he was bigger!
