I can't believe March and now April have completely flown by. Good idea - let's skip right into May - Standing in the Shadows of Motown. You in?!

I know, Pat
I missed the April Rolling Stones film too- I was so wrapped up in
the sweeping family saga called the Red Tail Hawk nest...
Maybe we can skip right on into May? " Standing in the Shadows of Motown, " is it?
Am excited because I know that we have a copy in the library--
Happy last day of April and the James Taylor song: " First Day of May" comes to mind for me! -you all, too? Things are beginning, our side is winning, come watch the film.

OK - have heard back from people who still want to watch this film - that's enough for me. It was just eerily quiet this month on this film so I wanted to make sure. SO lets watch it, shall we? I'm going to make a point of getting it over the weekend, and hope to toss my 2 cents on it in by Monday.

I purchased the film from here thinking that was the plan ,but I am also happy to do something else if people aren't into it.

It's getting to be the end of this month. Has anyone watched, or does anyone have plans to watch "Rebel Music"? If no one does, I may change the movie this month to a free documentary that we can all watch online. I haven't watched "Rebel Music" either. I will if other people are excited about it, but I'm just as happy to do something else if folks aren't so into it. Leave your thoughts about it on the wall for the group.

Snagfilms is an internet site that has GREAT documentary films, free. If you are looking for something interesting to watch, I highly recommend that you go to their website and check out what they have to offer. Ken and I are releasing our documentary "A Certain Kind of Beauty" there within the next week, and I wanted to test out the interface to see what people thought of it. I snagged 2 music-related films so that they would be relevant to this site. Kelly - I think you have to click on the player. It pops out another page where the movie will start playing. The John Lennon one looks really interesting. If people like watching in this way, I might start posting some here for people to watch online.

The interface made the viewing excellent. If I remember back Nick Rosen recommended the film.

This is very cool. Not sure if we are supposed to be able to play the movies here or if it is a demo version to indicate how it will work--if the first, then it is not allowing me to play--just alternates between the descriptions of the two films. ( More likely, it works and yours truly is too much of a newbie to work it) But if a demo--then it is going to be wonderful.
