Thanks for sharing your research. I'm happy the little one is rescued. Funny they called the undernourished baby bird "Miss Piggy," maybe she has quite the appetite... I hope the nest will be in use again next year.

Both hawk and eagle babies have grown so fast! One can feel the itch in their wings. They are flapping them, not knowing yet what to do with this part of their bodies. I guess we'll have to say our good-byes before long... Another month?

That's beautiful! Thanks for posting. Ken and I are working on a feature-length documentary about a homeless community in Palo Alto, California, and this tugs at the heartstrings.

Creativity at its best would be delightful if the message was not so painfully true. the streets are terribly unforgiving to those who are lonely and broke. this is a great reminder to recognize, subsidize and look into the eyes ....of those who by…

Action morning! The little ones were trying out their wings, then both parents showed up with yummie worms, one left, the other is feeding bite size bits. And on the eagle cam: lots of chirping, moma eagle sits in front of the lens and basks in the…

Andrea:

Pat Mc Mahon shared with me your project and my copy of the journal has not left my side for days. Have not yet viewed my copy of the DVD and am waiting for a quiet time to do so, solo.
Can't wait... So many pages of the journal have me going back again and again and sharing bits and pieces with my husband. Our favorite is the transcript between the US Naval ship and the Canadian signal... ( don't want to give it away here, but..just great)
