I am strictly amateur but dance in my kitchen on a nightly baasis and load up on aerobics and jazz and funk and hip hop and freestyle whenever I can. Used to do Dick Shea's Barefoot Ballroom and Broadway Dance Center often!
Now I find that all our really fun local classes seem to be for kids. Adults: strictly ballroom or ballet-- If you ever teach or know any good NYC or CT classes, let me know? ( am 5' 11" of clumsy but still love to do it!)
I work as a dance instructor and choreographer in addition to being a preschool & kindergarten music teacher. I live in New Jersey - just outside of Manhattan - but work in New York state.
I love many forms of dance, especially tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary and ballroom. I've taught kids as young as 2 and as old as 82 over the past decade and each age and ability level has its own special rewards.
I enjoy most types of music and find it so inspirational in my line of work. I am always listening to songs and pondering how I can use them for a dance!
